Support Meaningful Indigenous Community-Based PHC and Policy Research

 

Activities

i. Annual seed grant competition  

  • Year 1: community consultation to develop themes; Secretariat to develop call-for-proposal materials

  • Years 2 to 5: annual competition

ii. Research support to emerging and existing PHC projects

  • Two research support meetings for seed grant holders

  • One face-to-face research workshop tailored to collaborative needs of Grant holder cohort

  • Access to existing Network research knowledge and methods resources

  • Methods Hub support and mentorship


Outputs

i. Call for proposal documents; Community consultation report; 5 funded teams each year; archive of 5 project reports each year, bibliography of each project’s academic outputs including posters, presentations and publications; manuscript of seed grant outcomes.

ii. Research support meeting summaries; workshop materials; manuscript of development and outcomes Methods Hub.


Outcomes

i. New & strengthened community/academic partnerships for community-based PHC research; novel community-driven PHC innovations.

ii. Growing community-based capacity in PHC methods; strengthened mentorship relationships across dispersed sites.
